Richter nominated for Vancity board
Kim Richter has been recommended by Vancity’s nomination and elections committee for a spot on the board of directors.
The Township councillor and other Vancity-recommended names were endorsed on the basis of leadership, community involvement, and financial and technical expertise.
There are three vacancies for three-year terms.
“We are thrilled with the response we have received from the call for nominations for the 2011 election board of directors,” said Virginia Weiler, board vice-chairman. and chairman of the governance and conduct review committee.
“There is a strong pool of candidates for the three open positions.”
Members will receive information on all candidates in the mail but they can also learn more via both traditional and social media to help make a more informed voting choice. In addition to the traditional in-branch voting and mail-in ballots, Vancity members who are personal account holders will have also have the option to participate in online voting this year.
