Chef takes down all challengers

John LaMarche, 23, celebrates his second consecutive win of the slider burger eating contest at Mr. Mikes Steakhouse and Bar during halftime of the Super Bowl on Feb. 5. LaMarche, who has been a chef at Mr. Mikes for three years, prepared all of the slider burgers which he then consumed. He managed to gobble down 11 burgers in 10 minutes, and by doing so also raised $250 for the Foster Children’s Foundation.

For the second straight year, John LaMarche won the slider burger eating contest at Mr. Mikes Steakhouse and Bar.

The 23-year-old, who has been a chef at the restaurant for three years, managed to gobble down 11 burgers in 10 minutes. The contest was held at halftime of the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.

For his efforts, LaMarche won $250 to be donated to the charity of his choice, the Foster Children's Foundation.
