Former journalist sharing media tips with Langley Chamber
Former journalist George Affleck will share tips on how local businesses can better communicate with the media.
He will speak at the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce’s Business Breakfast Club series on Sept. 26 at the abc Country Restaurant (19219 56 Ave.).
The presentation will focus on how to obtain good media relations and why media coverage can help a company gain credibility.
“This event is more than a roundtable discussion,” Affleck said.
“This seminar will provide real-life advice and training for those looking to increase their business’s public profile, all in a friendly and relaxed environment.”
Affleck, a former CBC journalist, is now the CEO of Curve Communications and also a Vancouver councillor.
Cost of the seminar is $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. Breakfast is included.
