Bison earns safety award
An outstanding safety record and programs has earned Bison Transport the President’s Trophy.
The Canadian trucking company, which opened a facility in Langley in March, was honoured at the American Trucking Association (ATA) Safety and Human Resources National Conference and Exhibition.
For the second consecutive year, Bison attained the U.S. department of transportation’s recordable accident rate in its division and mileage category.
Bison also received the ATA’s Safety Improvement Award for its reduction in workplace accidents and injuries.
“We are proud of our people who lead the industry in safety practices and management, especially our professional drivers who play a major role in road safety,” said Garth Pitzel, the director of safety and driver development for Bison Transport.
