Langley 7-Eleven stores will be giving away 3,000 12oz Slurpee drinks between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on July 11 to celebrate 7-Eleven’s 45th birthday.

7-Eleven Canada is celebrating 45 years by offering its guests nearly three-quarters of a million Slurpee drinks on its birthday.

In the largest giveaway to date, 490 stores from B.C. to Ontario will each serve free Slurpees while stocks last.

Familiar to many Canadians, the concept of the Slurpee ‘run’ was also born 45 years ago. This birthday, 7-Eleven is celebrating the daily Slurpee run by inviting fans to organize the most creative or original Slurpee run and then simply post a run photo on Slurpee Canada’s Facebook page. The incentive? The best run photos could win even more Slurpees.

7-Eleven Inc. is the largest chain in the convenience retail industry. Based in Dallas, Tex., 7-Eleven operates franchises or licenses more than 10,300 7-Eleven stores in North America. Globally, 7-Eleven has some 53,300 stores in 16 countries.
