Township 7 winery hosts pruning party
Do you know the difference between spur pruning and cane pruning?
Here's a chance to channel your inner viticulturist by joining the Township 7 Winery crew at the annual spring pruning party in south Langley.
On Sunday, March 11, join winemaker Bradley Cooper as he demonstrates pruning techniques and enjoy hands-on experience in getting the vineyard ready for the coming season. After a morning of pruning, Township 7 will provide a hearty wine country lunch with a glass or two of wine, with discounts on any wine you purchase to take home.
No experience is necessary, however it should be noted that vineyard work naturally requires some physical exertion, thus people should only register if they are capable of gardening activity that will last for three or four hours.
The event runs from 9 a.m., rain or shine, at 21152 16 Ave., at 212 Street. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, and bring rain boots and rain gear just in case.
If you have them, bring your pruners and gardening gloves, and let the winery know that you want to take part, at gail@township7.com or call 604 532-1766.
