Open house at Daylily Gardens this weekend
Erikson’s Daylily Gardens is hosting their 11th annual open house event on Saturday and Sunday (July 14 and 15), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The gardens are located at 24642 – 51 Ave., Langley. They are part of the Circle Farm Tour and have the largest collection of award-winning daylilies in western Canada.
Other local exhibitors will be present, including Tuscan Farm Gardens and Big Bear Tools, along with the VanDusen Master Gardeners. There will be harp music by harpist Judy Henry, Aldergrove Daylily Society will have a fun draw (with gifts donated by Domaine de Chaberton, Krause Berry Farms, Select Roses, JD Turkey Farms, Otter Co-op and Tuscan Farm Gardens), and much more.
With the sunshine arriving a little later than usual, both the lilies and daylilies should be at peak bloom this year. The gardens are incredibly lush after the wet spring.
Admission is by donation to help a chosen charity – this year it will be the BC Children’s Hospital. For more information, you can check the website at www.eriksonsdaylilygardens.com, visit the Facebook page, or call 604-856-5758.
