It was a wild weekend at Critter Care
More than 6,000 people from around the Lower Mainland came out to Critter Care rehabilitation centre's annual open house on Saturday and Sunday.
This is Critter Care's largest fundraiser and Gail Martin, founder of wildlife centre, was pleased with the turnout.
Thousands were given the rare chance to get up close and personal with B.C.'s wildlife, including seeing fawns, baby raccoons horsing around, baby skunks and river otter.
There was also plenty to see and do from pony rides to getting to ride in a fire truck, watch a dog show, meet RCMP and more.
Critter Care takes in around 700 injured and orphaned wildlife, including 16 black bear cubs this year. It relies solely on donations and the dedicated work of international interns to keep operations running.
