Lester bringing Mission 5 Million to Langley
Jason Lester, who is set to embark on a 2,500-mile run along the Great Wall of China, will be speaking at Pagoda Ridge Golf Course on June 16.
Lester, an ultra-endurance athlete and chairman of the Never Stop Foundation, is helping fight childhood malnutrition through Mission 5 Million (M5M).
For every mile he runs, Mannatech will donate a one-month supply of PhytoBlend powder to a child in need around the world.
The powder, which Lester uses during competitions and training, contains all the essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals, all from real food sources.
Lester, who is also a published author and inspirational speaker, will do his run beginning in August with a goal to complete the task in 100 days — which is the equivalent of running a marathon per day.
Growing up in Arizona, Lester was an elite athlete but was hit by a car at age 12, suffering 21 broken bones and a collapsed lung. His right arm is still partly paralyzed.
He overcame those challenges to excel at sports at the high school and university level and is now an endurance athlete
Tickets to the Pagoda Ridge (7887 264 St.) event are $5 and include coffee, tea and snacks.
It begins at 7 p.m.
