Fort Gallery goes floral

The Fort Gallery presents, Flora, by Kristin Krimmel Feb. 22 – March 12

For artist Kristin Krimmel, it seems like a miracle that a tiny seed and a bit of fertile mud can produce glorious plants.

Plants and their flowers create a state of wonder Krimmel, and are the inspiration behind her latest collection of paintings, Flora.

Running at the Fort Gallery Feb. 22 to March 12, the exhibit explores the colour, pattern, shifting light and shadow, and the life within flowers themselves.

There will be an opening reception with the artist on Sunday, Feb. 26 between 1 and 4 p.m.

The Fort Gallery is located at 9048 Glover Rd. and is open Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
