LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Amanda Peet has joined the cast of the adventure movie "Gulliver's Travels" opposite Jack Black.
The 20th Century Fox film, derived from Jonathan Swift's classic story, also stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt.
The modern retelling follows travel writer Lemuel Gulliver, who heads to an assignment in the Bermuda Triangle only to end up on the secret island of Lilliput, home to a population of industrious tiny people. Peet will play Black's editor and potential romantic interest.
"Monsters vs. Aliens" co-director Rob Letterman is helming the picture, which was written by Nicholas Stoller and Joe Stillman.
Peet recently appeared in "The X-Files: I Want to Believe." She next stars in Roland Emmerich's apocalyptic thriller "2012," scheduled to hit domestic theaters November 13.
