200 Street to be closed for four nights
With the scheduled night time closure of 200 Street immediately north of one of the busiest intersections in Langley, the Township has released detour details.
All lanes of 200 Street will be closed between 68 Avenue and 72 Avenue from 11 p.m. on Monday, March 7 to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8 and during the same hours on the following three nights, until 5 a.m. on Friday, March 4.
The closure will allow the contractor to erect the centre arch sections of a pedestrian overpass directly above 200 Street, linking the bases on the east and west side of the road.
The detour route will take traffic along 202B Street which becomes 202 Street, and connecting to 200 Street along 72 Avenue and 66 Avenue.
The $1.7 million overpass is expected to be finished in early spring.
