Sight in short supply
Sight will be in short supply as the Langley Pos-abilities Society hosts their Dining in the Dark event on Friday, May 13. By giving diners a blindfold, and the opportunity to enjoy the evening without their eyes, the goal of the event is to show the challenges that people without sight deal with every day.
The proceeds from the event will go to Langley Pos-abilities, to provide people with disabilities with assisting devices.
With a cash bar, door prizes, and a live and silent auction the event will be an exciting sightless experience. Items up for auction include two Westjet tickets, an Olympic pin set or a Ryan Kesler autographed hat and picture.
The event will be held at Andreas Restaurant, 20227-56 Ave. in Langley at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 13. Tickets are $40 and are available at www.langleypos-abilities.org or by phone at 604-961-0117.
