Newcomers welcome
Yorkson Watershed Stewardship Committee, a collective of residents from Walnut Grove who are active in protecting the natural habitats around the Yorkson and Mundy Creeks, is holding a meeting on Tuesday, Sept.13.
The group, active on many different fronts and enjoying a close relationship with the municipality, is inviting newcomers to bring their enthusiasm and ideas to the group and help to make a difference in the community.
The meeting runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rotary Room in Walnut Grove Park. Access is from the driveway that lies between the secondary school and the tennis courts, on the west side of Walnut Grove Drive.
