Langley teen involved in rollover near Hope
A 17-year-old male from Langley is facing impaired driving charges following an accident on Othello Forestry Road in Hope on Saturday.
Hope RCMP were called out to the scene at about 7:45 p.m. and found a rolled-over Chevrolet Blazer with seven passengers. Police said the group, who were in the area celebrating their upcoming graduation, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
“This is an accident that could have had a devastating impact on the community,” said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. “We really can not be any more clear — drinking and driving do not mix.”
Crown counsel will be assessing several possible impaired driving charges against the driver.
