A Fraser Valley resident has E. Coli linked to XL Foods beef
Two more cases of E. Coli, one here in the Fraser Valley, has been confirmed in B.C. linking back to beef from XL Foods in Alberta.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control confirmed the cases on Friday, saying one adult was visiting from outside the country and tested positive for the strain linked to XL beef. The second case is an adult in the Fraser Health Authority who consumed the beef here in B.C.. The Centre isn't saying yet what part of the Fraser Valley the victim is from. But they did say, the person is recovering.
That is now three cases in B.C. and 15 in total in Canada.
XL Foods distributed beef products to virtually every grocery outlet in B.C.
