$475 raised for Poppy Fund
At the 16th annual Rich Coleman fundraiser for the BC Liberals, held Thursday, Nov. 8, more than $475 was raised for the Langley Legion Branch 21 poppy fund.
Each table was decorated with cut flowers. People at the table were asked for a donation to the Poppy Fund in exchange for taking the flowers home.
“At each of our fundraisers, we always ask our guests to help themselves to the flowers decorating the centerpieces. This year, because Rich’s fundraiser was so close to Remembrance Day, we thought it would be a nice way to help our local veterans,” said Michele Coleman, chair of the fundraiser.
The event attracted close to 500 people.
