Cold weather prompts opening of Langley emergency shelter

With snow falling and night temperatures falling below zero degrees, the provincial government has issued an Extreme Weather Alert for Langley.

An extreme weather shelter has opened at the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope, starting yesterday (Wednesday).

The regular shelter is already above capacity.
