Some reports are coming in that the 208 Street hill was a skating rink of black ice, causing several fender benders and forcing a temporary closure of the busy road on Monday morning.

Langley Township fire department report that the road was icy compared to other main routes around Langley. The road was closed for the morning commute and re-opened around 9:30 a.m.

It's not known if crews salted the road or not. Some witnesses said there were ambulance on scene and numerous crashes.
