Lynn Fripps locked down on Friday
Lynn Fripps Elementary was on code yellow lock down on Friday, after a student discovered what looked like a stick of dynamite on the school grounds at lunch hour.
The Langley RCMP locked down the school and the Explosive Device Unit was called in to investigate.
The potential bomb turned out to be an old smoke bomb, said Cpl. Holly Marks.
The lock down was lifted just before school was to let out for the day.
