Fees kick in at Park and Ride
Starting Sept. 1, motorists will have to pay to park at the Carvolth Park and Ride in north Langley.
Beginning this Sunday, the Carvolth Transit Exchange Park and Ride facility will cost $2 to park for the day or $40 to park for a month.
Opened in December 2012, with more than 670 parking spaces, the Carvolth Park and Ride allows riders in the Langley area to park near the transit network and easily continue their journey via the rapid bus, over the Port Mann bridge, and connect to SkyTrain.
As an introductory offer to the new transit exchange, the parking facility was free of charge for a limited time.
The new parking charge is part of TransLink’s Park and Ride Policy, which guides the supply, pricing and management of TransLink-managed facilities. Pricing will help TransLink make the best use of its resources, contributing to the operating, maintenance and capital costs of its facilities.
Motorcyclists can also park at designated stalls for $1 per day. For those who cycle, bike lockers are available at this facility for $10 per month, with a minimum rental of three months.
