Truck slams into oncoming train in Langley

It's believed a truck driver managed to slam on the brakes just before hitting an oncoming train at a rural crossing at 272 Street, near 60 Avenue, on Wednesday morning.

The driver of the green pickup escaped injury but the front end of the vehicle is crushed. The collision closed 272 Street, near 60 Avenue, while an investigation was carried out.

The train crossing does not have arms or signals.
