School fire deliberately set

Langley RCMP are investigating an attempted arson at Aldergrove Community Secondary school on Tuesday afternoon (July 1).

Someone set fire to a pile of clothes in the entrance to one of the portables at the school inĀ  the 26800 block of 29 Avenue, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage to an exterior roof truss.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. and was quickly extinguished.

There were no reports of injuries.
