Slots Supported

Editor: I support the placement of slot machines at the Langley Bingo Palace.

I am the chairperson of the board of Brookswood Kids Place (“BKP”).  We are a volunteer run, non-profit organization that provides a quality preschool and out-of-school program.

Our facility employs five fine, well-trained employees and has over 60 children enrolled in our various programs.  Accordingly, our centre provides a special and very important service in our community, where child care is limited.  Our existence has a huge, positive impact on our members.

BKP receives approximately $15,000 annually through gaming funds.  These funds are imperative to our survival.  Without them, we would be forced to either greatly increase our fees or possibly even close our centre.

The addition of slot machines at Langley Bingo Palace will help to ensure its continued viability.

 Laureen Jones, chairperson,

Brookswood Kids’ Place Society
