TransLink off the hook
Editor: Re: “Bus will carry students between Kwantlen’s Langley and Surrey campuses,” (The Times, Sept.1).
TransLink will reap the benefit of funds raised by the Kwantlen U-Pass system, yet does not have to improve service for Langley and Surrey students, since the students have come up with their own strategy.
They are paying for the new inter-campus shuttle, over and above the TransLink fees. This relieves any pressure on TransLink to improve transit service south of the Fraser, so it can focus on the Evergreen Line and improving service to UBC!
