Some signs block drivers' views
Editor: Regarding the recent letters about election signs, I have never damaged a sign but I did call the Township bylaw office two weeks ago to have one moved from the northeast corner of 64 Avenue and 216 Street.
The sign had been placed on an angle so it was blocking the view of drivers trying to cross 216 Street or to turn left to head south. It was subsequently moved about 20 feet further north on 216 Street, so it was still visible to drivers and getting the mesage of whoever the candidate was, but without blocking views.
Whoever puts out these signs needs to be aware of where they are putting them. I do not condone the man who got out of his vehicle and destroyed a sign, but maybe he was fed up of having his traffic vision blocked by the careless placement of these signs.
