Farmland needs to be preserved

Editor: I sent a message to our Fort Langley-Aldergrove MLA,  Rich Coleman, about the plan to remove land from the Agricultural Land Reserve to make way for expansion of Trinity Western University. I am concerned about the loss of farmland.

Do you know that 100 years ago there was one billion people on this earth? There are now seven billion.

In another 100 years, would you think that maybe, just maybe there will be trouble feeding those who are here?

Saving farmland today will leave a legacy.  Yes, it will be a legacy that one can get their teeth into.

Gary Davis,

Fort Langley
