Letter writer's question answered
Editor: I would like to answer David J. Standcumbe’s question, asked in a letter to the editor in the March 12 edition of The Times.
His question is, and I quote: “When somebody can tell me what we can do about volcanoes and forest fires, as well as India and China and their climate abuses, then I’ll listen to them about what’s coming from my tail pipe.”
My answer to Standcumbe is this: we can do nothing about volcanoes, forest fires nor what India or China, with their climate abuses, do.
Now that the question is answered, I expect that he will listen “to them” (a bunch of sincere well-meaning kids) about what’s coming “from my tailpipe.”
