Flanagan top Cascade
A big weekend from Aaron Flanagan has helped the Fraser Valley Cascades pull back into the playoff picture.
The fourth-year right-side hitter from Langley led the Cascades with 38 kills, 12 digs and three blocked shots as they picked up a pair of crucial victories, 3-2 over the Vancouver Island Mariners and 3-2 over the Camosun Chargers.
The results improve Fraser Valley’s men’s volleyball team to 4-5 in the B.C. Colleges’ Athletic Association standings. The Cascades sit in fifth place.
Flanagan was also named the UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat male athlete of the week.
