Jr. Thunder fall in opener

A hat trick and five points from Reegan Comeault was not enough as the Langley Jr. Thunder lost their season opener.

The Thunder fell 7-6 to the host Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs on Wednesday night at the Coquitlam Sports Centre in junior A lacrosse action.

Coquitlam led 3-1 after 20 minutes and 6-3 after two periods, before Langley cut the deficit to one goal.

Adam Will, Sean Lundstrom and Nick Stone had the other Langley goals.

Ryley Brown made 31 saves.

The Thunder play their home opener on Sunday at the Langley Events Centre against the Nanaimo Jr. Timbermen. Game time is 5 p.m.
