Jr. Thunder silenced in playoffs
The Langley Jr. Thunder's first foray into the post-season has ended.
The Thunder lost 15-10 at the Langley Events Centre on Monday night to the Delta Islanders.
The Islanders also won game one on Saturday, 13-10, at the Ladner Leisure Centre to win the best-of-three B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League playoff series 2-0.
Langley led 7-5 early in the second period in game two, but the Islanders reeled off seven straight goals to take command.
The Thunder did cut the lead to a pair of goals midway through the third, but Delta salted the series with the game's final three scores.
Brandon Bull had a hat trick and one assist while Reid Reinholdd had two goals and one assist.
Reegan Comeault chipped in with a goal and two helpers.
In game one, Langley could not recover from an early 5-0 deficit.
Bull had six points (three goals, three assists), Comeault had five points (two goals, three assists) and Nick Stone had four points (two goals, two assists).
