Angels rally extinguishes Blaze
Three outs away from advancing to the provincial championships, and the Langley Sr. Blaze let the game slip away.
Facing the Coquitlam Angels in the third and deciding game of the teams’ best-of-three Pacific Metro Baseball League series on Sunday at McLeod Park, Langley surrendered four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lose 6-5.
The teams traded victories on Saturday, with Coquitlam winning game one 3-2 and the Blaze responding with a 4-3 victory in the second game.
Langley faces the B.C. Selects next weekend in Abbotsford in exhibition play as the Blaze gear up for the 31st annual Grand Forks International Tournament on the Labour Day weekend.
