Rivermen break camp
The Langley Rivermen wrapped up their first training camp and now await the exhibition season.
The Rivermen host the Wenatchee Wild in a pair of games Friday (Sept. 9) and Saturday (Sept. 10) at the George Preston Recreation Centre.
More than 80 players began camp last week at the Walnut Grove Sportsplex, but ultimately, 50 skaters and six goalies were released prior to the Rivermen's inter-squad game.
The team opens the BCHL season on Sept. 23 with their home opener on Sept. 24 at the Langley Events Centre. Both games are against the Surrey Eagles.
