Junior Thunder fall to ’Bellies
The Langley Junior Thunder were doubled up 8-4 by the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies.
The Thunder had evened the score at two goals apiece early in the second period, but the host ’Bellies seized control with three goals in a span of 57 seconds.
The B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League game was played on Tuesday (May 15) night at Queens Park Arena.
Eric Ransom led the way for Langley with a pair of goals, while William Vanden Hooven and Brendan Mykle-Winkler had the others. Nick Stone, with two assists, and Connor Buick, Brandon Bull and Dayton Pagliericci, with one helper apiece, also hit the scoresheet.
The loss drops the Thunder to 1-3 on the season.
Langley is back in action on May 17 when they host Coquitlam. Game time is 8 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre.
