Chiefs rally cools Blaze
The Langley Blaze surrendered three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as they fell 5-4 to the Fraser Valley Chiefs.
The game was played at Whalley Athletic Park on May 30 and the result drops Langley out of first place in the B.C. U18 Premier Baseball League standings.
It was just the second Blaze loss in the last 10 games as they saw their record drop to 24-6, two games behind the 18-4 Nanaimo Pirates.
The Chiefs took advantage of three Langley errors and seven walks to score the victory.
Mitchell Robinson scored Tyler O'Neill with a fourth-inning single and the Blaze tacked on another three runs in the fifth: O'Neill with a sacrifice fly to score Michael Dagg and then Mason Cratty's two-run double which brought home Aaron Horanski and Preston Kokotailo.
