The Langley Junior Blaze stretched their win streak to double digits thanks to a 7-2 victory over the Abbotsford Junior Cardinals.

The U16 B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League teams squared off at McLeod Park on June 26.

Matthew Whieldon and Matthew Reston both belted doubles and Whieldon also drove in a pair of runs.

Justin Lawrence, Mason Verge and Steven Young had the other Langley RBIs.

On the mound, Justin Atkinson and Mitchell Kennedy combined to throw a four-hitter.

Atkinson earned the win, pitching four and one-third innings with six strikeouts, before giving way to Kennedy in the fifth inning.

The win, Langley's 10th straight, improved the Blaze to a league-best 23-5 and a 3.5 game lead on the North Shore Junior Twins.
