While positionally it may not work, the Langley Blaze do have enough invitees to form their own starting nine.

Nine members of the Langley Blaze baseball program are among the 52 invitees for the U17 B.C. Selects camp.

Jordan Atkinson, Matt Fischer, Preston Kokotailo, Ashton Mantle, Tyler O'Neill, Mitchell Robinson, Nick Rutckyj, Tanner Shaer and Liam Stroud are the Blaze players taking part in the camp, which runs July 9 to 12 at Langley's McLeod Park.

The players are competing for one of the 20 roster spots on Team BC's entry in the Canada Cup. That event runs Aug. 7 to 14 in London, Ont.
