Langley Rams receiver earns accolades
Langley Rams receiver Malcolm Williams has been recognized for an outstanding effort in week two of the B.C. Junior Football Conference.
Williams, a Maple Ridge native, caught eight passes — three of them for touchdowns — and 111 yards as the Rams went to Nanaimo and played to a 31-31 tie with the Vancouver Island Raiders.
His efforts earned Williams the B.C. Lions offensive player of the week award.
The Rams (1-0-1) play their home opener on Aug. 18 against the Chilliwack Huskers (0-2). Kick-off is at 8 p.m. at McLeod Park.
