Tryout time for 2013 Fusion teams
Tryouts will be held this weekend for the 2013 Fraser Valley Fusion fastball season.
The Fusion will hold tryouts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 7 to Sept. 9) for three different age-group teams — players born in 1997, 1998 and 1999.
Pitchers and catchers will attend the Friday tryouts, which run on Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Willoughby Park northeast diamond. This is for the Fusion 97A and 98A teams.
The regular tryouts for the Fusion 97A, 98A and 99A teams will be the Saturday and Sunday at Noel Booth Park.
The 99A team will go from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. while the 97A team takes the field from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The 98A squad is on the field from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
