Golf tour hits the links in Langley
The Vancouver Golf Tour is set to finish its season this weekend at Langley’s newest golf course.
Some of the top local golfers from the Fraser Valley will be teeing off at Langley’s newest golf course as the Vancouver Golf Tour comes to town.
For two days this weekend (Sept. 29-30), the golfers will tee it up at Pagoda Ridge, an 18-hole course which plays just more than 7,000 yards.
The course, which is at 7887 264 St. opened in July.
Some of the notable golfers include North Vancouver’s Bryn Parry, Surrey’s Ryan Williams and Abbotsford’s Nick Taylor, the top three players on the VGT’s Order of Merit. They will be competing for $15,000 in prize money.
There are also several Langley golfers in the field, including Adam Cornelson, Luke Bogdan, Jeremy Paradis, James Allenby, Doug Morgan, Devin Carrey and Dean Walters.
Pagoda Ridge will also be the site of a one-day Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour tournament on Oct. 6.
