Langley soccer association holding food and toy drive
The Langley United Soccer Association is holding its first annual food and toy drive.
Players, parents and anyone else wanting to contribute is asked to bring a food item or a new, unwrapped toy for donation for the Langley Christmas Bureau and the Langley Food Bank.
The local soccer association will provide hot chocolate and candy canes for kids and coffee for adults.
Anyone making a donation will also be eligible to put their name in a draw for four Vancouver Whitecaps tickets for the upcoming season. Langley United is donating four sets of tickets to be won.
The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Willoughby Artificial Turf fields located at the Langley Events Centre (7888 200 Street).
