The Brookswood Bobcats won bronze at the 2012 Telus Basketball Classic.

The senior girls basketball team defeated their Fraser Valley rivals, the Riverside Rapids, 79-67 on Saturday in the third-place game at the prestigious pre-season tournament held every year in Vancouver.

The ’Cats went 3-1 at the tournament.

In the opener, they hammered Vancouver Tech 84-18, before scoring a 86-60 win over the Burnaby South Rebels in the quarter-finals.

Brookswood was tripped up 86-77 to the Argyle Pipers in the semifinals, before bouncing back with the win over the Rapids.

Sydney Williams was named a tournament all-star.
