Kodiaks rally for fourth straight victory

´╗┐The Aldergrove Kodiaks scored three unanswered goals in the third period to skate to their fourth straight victory.

After the Richmond Sockeyes went ahead 3-2 40 seconds in the third period, the junior B Kodiaks rallied for the 5-3 victory in PIJHL action on Dec. 12 at Aldergrove Arena.

MacLean Hewitt tied the score less than four minutes after Richmond went ahead and then Stephen Ryan made it 4-3 five minutes later.

Stefan Gonzales sealed the win with an empty net goal.

The win improved the Kodiaks to 14-11-1-0 while the loss was just the sixth this season in 26 games for Richmond (19-6-1-0).

Brandon Dolby and Kenny Prato scored for Aldergrove in the first period after Richmond's Adam Nishi opened the scoring.

The Sockeyes' Dean Allison had the lone goal of the middle period.

Mark Menicucci made 42 saves for the Kodiaks.
