The H.D. Stafford Skyhawks built a comfortable lead and then withstood a furious second-half comeback from the Chief Dan George Wolves.

The Skyhawks, who led by 11 points at one point, saw their lead whittled down to four before time ran out on the Wolves.

The two teams were playing in the opening round of a Grade 8 boys basketball tournament at H.D. Stafford on Friday (Jan. 11) afternoon. The tournament wraps up on Jan. 12 with the championship game at 1;30 p.m.
