Gators through to final four
The Walnut Grove Gators booked their ticket for the B.C. AAA senior boys’ provincial basketball championships.
The Gators are assured of a top four finish at the Fraser Valley championships after winning their first three games.
Walnut Grove, seeded second out of the 32 Valley teams, faces the third-ranked Yale Lions on Friday (March 1) at the Langley Events Centre. Game time is 7:45 p.m.
The winner faces the victor between the top-seed White Rock Christian Warriors and the fifth-seed W.J. Mouat Hawks on Saturday, also at the LEC.
The Fraser Valley bronze medal game is at 6 p.m. with the gold medal game tipping off at 7:45 p.m.
In the Gators’ first three games at Fraser Valleys, they hammered the Chilliwack Storm 96-45, beat the Delta Pacers 72-45 and then knocked off the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers 87-50.
