Two goals from Adam Callegari helped the Aldergrove Kodiaks even their best-of-seven series at one game apiece.

The Kodiaks doubled up the Abbotsford Pilots 4-2 in game two of the Pacific Junior Ice Hockey League's second round series on March 6 at the Aldergrove Arena.

The Pilots, the higher seed, had won game one the night before, exploding for six goals in the third period in an 8-1 victory.

In game two, Daniel Higgs opened the scoring with four minutes to play in the first period, and then 28 seconds into the middle frame, MacLean Hewitt doubled the lead for the home side.

Christopher Vinette got the Pilots on the board nine minutes later and then the teams traded goals in the late going. Callegari scored short-handed with 1:21 to play to make it 3-1, but on the very next shift, Adam Rossi pulled Abbotsford back to within a goal.

Callegari scored into an empty-net with 46 seconds to play in the game to complete the scoring.

Game three of the series goes on Friday (March 8) at the MSA Arena in Abbotsford before the teams return to the Aldergrove Arena for game four on March 10.

Game five will be back in Abbotsford on March 12.
