Fredeman earns player of the week honours
Trinity Western men’s hockey goaltender Harry Fredeman has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League’s Player of the Week.
Fredeman led the Spartans to a pair of home wins at the Langley Events Centre over Victoria Friday and Saturday, boosting TWU’s regular season record to 4-1.
On Friday, the 21-year old netminder was the difference in a game where his team was outshot by a 38-21 margin. Fredeman allowed just a pair of goals.
Then, on Saturday afternoon, Fredeman shut down the Vikes offence entirely to the tune of a 42-save shutout. His tremendous play peaked during a 24-save middle frame.
Fredeman is unbeaten in four starts this season and currently leads all BCIHL starters with a 1.15 goals-against average and .966 save-percentage.
