Three runs in the top of the seventh inning helped the Langley Junior Blaze rally for a 5-4 victory over the Abbotsford Junior Cardinals.

The U16 baseball team was at Abbotsford's Delair Park on April 23 and the victory improved Langley to 3-0 in B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League action.

Langley was aided by four Cardinal errors in the seventh inning alone.

Markus Gregson scored the decisive run on a Cole Cantelon single to centre-field.

Abbotsford would put two runners in scoring position in the bottom half of the inning but Parker Logan nailed down the final two outs.

Logan pitched four and two-thirds innings for the win, allowing one run and three hits. He struck out nine.

Broden Bydeweg had two hits and an RBI while Yi-An Pan had an RBI as well.

Langley is scheduled to play their home opener at McLeod Park on Saturday (April 26) when they host the 5-0 North Delta Junior Blue Jays in a doubleheader. Game times are noon and 2:30 p.m.
