Mason Verge drove in three runs as the Langley Blaze wrapped up a near-perfect month with a 13-0 victory.

The U18 baseball team was playing the Whalley Chiefs (1-7) at Whalley Athletic Park on Tuesday and the win was Langley’s 12th in a row. They improved to 12-1 and sit atop the B.C. Premier Baseball League standings.

The Blaze scored eight runs — all of which came with nobody on base and two outs — in the second inning and then added five more in the third.

Cooper Misic improved to 3-0, allowing just three hits and striking out five over five innings.

Liam Wyatt and Hayden Jaco drove in a pair of runs while Luke Horanski had an RBI triple.

Langley hosts the Vancouver Cannons (4-3) tonight (Thursday) at McLeod Park. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
