Blaze split Seattle Premier League debut

The Langley Blaze’s initial foray into the Seattle Premier League produced mixed results as the U18 baseball team debuted with a 2-2 weekend.

Langley split both of their doubleheaders, beating Narrows Baseball 10-2 in the opener at Gig Harbor High School on Saturday, before losing the rematch 9-5.

And on Sunday at Edmonds Community College, the Blaze triumphed 22-12 in the opener but fell 8-4 in game two to the Seattle Stars.

The Stars lead the league at 6-2 while Narrows Baseball is second at 5-2.

Eight teams play in the league.

Langley leads the B.C. Premier Baseball League with a 24-5 record.
